KineticGlue has been around since 2007. Started by Vivek Paul , Meeta Malhotra and the SaaS platform/offering name – Kineticglue (www.kineticglue.com). The Market segment catered to Retail, Finance, Telecommunications, Education, Technology and SMB. They were one of the short-listed companies at the SaaS-AppS EMERGE Product Showcase at the EMERGEOUT Conclave in Chennai. Here is an interview done by us.
What would you describe as the Market Moving Functionality of your solution?
KineticGlue is the leading social collaboration platform from India. It enables a fluid, seamless connection of people, information and processes. This is not the kind of stickiness that inhibits movement, but one that drives action.
All the product features and roadmap are influenced by this concept – so you can attach documents to projects, add polls to a blog etc. Our email and mobile integration only makes it easier for people to consume and share such information more easily. We also have SMS-based collaboration features specifically designed for Indian businesses.
What is the kind of impact that your product delivers for it’s customers?
Kineticglue clearly boosts the productivity and knowledge sharing in enterprises.

BASE, a leading coaching and education company uses KineticGlue to coordinate coaching operations across 12+ centers. KineticGLue is used to announce and syncrhonize programs, schedules, faculty allocations and student information. The faculty in the different centers and the central team co-ordinate day-to-day activities on the platform. Vallish N Herur, CEO of BASE had to say the following when we recently met him. “KineticGlue encourages people to be transparent, so we get to know issues and problems early, which we can respond to quickly. Because of this, our decision making time has been cut down by half.”
How do you see the SaaS space in India evolving?
We believe that SAAS is uniquely positioned for the Indian companies as they increase IT adoption. They don’t have to follow the traditional model of huge capital layout, infrastructure and manpower. While internet is full of SAAS offerings from US, we see local support as a key requirement from our customers, so we believe that the Indian SAAS companies will benefit from the same and see increasing adoption.
Do you believe that the Indian market has moved beyond initial concerns around security/solution availability?
We are seeing increasing confidence in SAAS/Cloud from both large and small size companies in India. Our cloud offering has been evaluated and used by leading banks and retail companies here.
Do you see companies across the spectrum- from large to mid-size to smaller players – adopting SaaS?
We have both large and small size customers using our offering. We see this getting accelerated as the enterprise employees become more mobile with 3G adoption.
How do you see your solution evolving, going forward?
We see mobility as a critical component of our solution and as we are supporting all leading mobile platforms today. With increasing penetration of smartphones and 3G adoption customers will collaborate anytime-anywhere.
